the time I married a man who had nine brothers and sisters, I could not help but wonder what I was getting in. Although I do not have anywhere near that many members of the family, between my husband and I are our fair share of the sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews who like to visit from all over the U.S. - especially since we moved to Boston.
With its rich history and a fun atmosphere, Boston seems that our family has been a hot spot for spring break, summer vacation, or any of the three-day weekend. And since we're only living in the area of New England, we quickly learned the best places around town to our many visitors entertained.
My sister-in-law and her family recently visited the Southwest - anxious to experience the beautiful scenery of autumn in Boston in October. Since she has three small children, I was so glad I recently bought a new 2008 Buick Enclave - with enough seats 7 people comfortably
.Just a few moments after he got off the plane, we were cruising around town in a Buick Enclave. In order to offer our guests to the French brasserie with the Boston waterfront called Sel de la Terre, we headed in that direction. But he soon realized we were not sure exactly where it is! Thanks to the OnStar ® navigation system in our enclave, we were able to find no time to enjoy what we like to call the locals the best bread in the entire New England area.
this weekend our guests are treated to all of our favorite attractions in Boston. From the revolutionary history of the Freedom Trail in Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park, the infamous, we hardly any grass grow under our feet. And if we brought a picnic basket or a lot of Red Sox souvenirs, Enclave still had room to spare!
One morning we piled into the Buick Enclave for the trip to Salem, Massachusetts. Children dressed in their Halloween costumes to participate in this year's Haunted Events Opening Parade. I must admit, the drive to Salem is a pretty rowdy with witches, princesses and Jedi singing Monster Mash in the rear. I though it was a short trip, I was glad we can adjust the music toback of the of the enclave so adults can enjoy a more comfortable ( and lessnoisy ) trip.
In Salem, the explosion of children marching in the parade and everyone enjoyed the haunted house. We also check out some of the historic buildings that mark the Salem's "spirited" history. It is as fascinating as it was spooky!
As our final event of the week, we left a niece and nephew with my neighbor and spent the last few days in Providence. Just a few hours south of Boston - Providence has some nice areas, such as Water Place Park and Riverwalk. From Venice-inspired Bridge to a beautiful flower gardens and a lovely view, it was the perfect escape for my sister and brother-in-law before they head home.
All in all, it was one of the best visits we have had since moving to Boston. I know that everyone (including me) felt like they were in the lap of luxury thanks to our Buick Enclave. Now is the time to plan for the next family member to come into the city, but at least we have the knowledge about the city and transport we have to make every visit even better than the last.
